The state of Karnataka is continuously striving to become a lead partner in Government of India’s vision of transforming the quality of urban living, through its flagship Smart Cities Mission. The mission seeks to promote development of cities in an inclusive and sustainable manner through application of ‘Smart’ Solutions and digital technologies for building core infrastructure.
Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC), has been appointed as the State Level Nodal Agency for Smart Cities Mission’s project implementation in Karnataka. Seven cities from Karnataka, viz., Bengaluru, Belagavi, Davanagere, Hubballi-Dharwad, Shivamogga, Mangaluru & Tumakuru are selected under the Mission and have crystallized projects to the tune of Rs.14000 Crore, which are in the execution stage.
Karnataka, therefore, presents exciting opportunities for potential investors in the Smart City space, particularly in the EPC & Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
‘Karnataka Smart Cities Investment Summit-2020’ will showcase the investment opportunities in these smart cities, foster investments, technology transfers and partnership opportunities and reaffirm the state’s deep commitments for smart urbanization.
